Christmas is next week and if there‘s ever a day to wine and dine your loved ones, this is it!
Although we aren’t hosting Christmas dinner this year, I couldn’t resist completing my formal dining room with a Christmas-inspired tablescape.
My recommendation when selecting items for your table is to keep it simple. Select one or two statement pieces that add color (in my design – the box centerpiece and napkin ornaments) and then integrate subtle, neutral elements (white china, white napkins, muted green placemats) to soften it up.
Often times larger centerpieces are removed from the table upon serving the meal, therefore adding a decorative element to each place setting, such as a napkin ornament, name card or menu, provides a decorative welcome for each guest.
Thank you for visiting the blog and I hope this post provided you with some inspiration for your holiday tablescape. Merry Christmas!
