A few weeks back my family and I went to Cape Cod (Massachusetts) for a much needed beach vacation. We spent an entire week together, soaking in the summer sun!
This week we are at it again, this time visiting the Jersey Shore. Today I’m sharing my top five beach essentials that we just couldn’t live without!
*All items will be linked at the bottom of the post.
Chairs are a must have for the adults AND kids. In my personal experience, if the kids aren’t in the sand or water, they’re on your lap UNLESS you bring them their own chair. This was a game changer this year, even at 3 and 1.5 years old.
I also strongly recommend an over sized beach blanket as a clean (ish) spot for lunch and naps and also as a protector from the hot sand.
As a mom I constantly worry about sun exposure and this tent is the perfect solution! Both boys (and their chairs) fit comfortably underneath and on a several occasions, my chair fit too! The material is protected with UV and set up / break-down is a breeze!
A family beach trip isn’t complete without toys! With a young family, packing up and getting to the beach is no easy feat; and when you finally get there, you want to spend the entire day so that the effort feels worth it. Keep everyone entertained all day with fun (and portable) activities.
A beach cart and rolling cooler is a game changer, trust me! Never again will I lug everything in my arms, taking several trips in the summer heat. Here are the products that we have and strongly recommend.
Each day before heading to the beach we made iced coffee and thanks to our insulated tumblers, our drinks remained cold the entire time. If you’re busy and on the go, this cup is well worth the investment.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope this post is helpful in getting you beach ready; there’s still plenty of summer left!
