What started as a “get out of the house” trip on Saturday turned into more than half a day perusing different stores and scoring several things that I actually needed (but wasn’t planning on buying that day), including upcoming birthday gifts, summer staples for the boys and a few accent pieces for my home, including a much needed kitchen runner!

The runner was purchased at Homegoods for $49.99 and is by Christian Siriano. It is 2’2” by 6’9” and compliments the rest of my accent pieces just perfectly!

The same rug is also available on Amazon, however is listed for $109. I therefore linked several others within the same color palette, along with two other rugs that we currently own, including the Safevieh Adirondak Runner in Slate/Cream (located in my foyer) and the Safevieh California Shag in Taupe (located in my living room).

I also picked up some faux flowers from Michael’s to fill the vase Greg gifted me for Mother’s Day. It was purchased from Hallmark and reads “All the love a heart can hold” and is such a sweet addition to my new entryway. Little by little (and three years later) our house is becoming a home!
