I am back and feeling refreshed after our first family getaway to Singer Island in West Palm Beach, Florida!

This trip was the perfect break for all of us from the daily grind of both work and home life. We stayed at Marriott’s Oceana Palms Resort in the most beautiful beach front suite, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

While navigating the airport with bags, a car seat, a stroller and a toddler was less than easy, I am proud to report that our little boy behaved perfectly on the flight and throughout the entire trip, sleeping from 7PM – 7AM EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT!

For families, I highly recommend Marriott’s Vacation Club properties, such as Oceana Palms, which offer a fully equipped kitchen, living room, in-room washer / dryer, along with so many resort amenities and kid-friendly activities running throughout the day. Our particular resort also offered private beach access, two pools (including a kid’s splash pad and slide), two on-site restaurants and so much more!

While there was much to do in the greater West Palm Beach / Singer Island area, we found ourselves staying on resort grounds nearly the entire time, soaking up as much of the sunshine and ocean-breeze as we could. Plus, with pool-side drinks / food-service, daily ice-cream socials and only steps to the sand, why leave?!?

Our favorite part of our stay had to be swimming in the pool with Mason. Although he was a little (well actually very), timid of both the splash pad and the ocean waves, he absolutely loved kicking and splashing in the big pools with mommy and daddy.

Like any vacation, our time away went by all too quickly, but with so many great photos capturing our trip, we will be sure to reminisce for years to come. And who knows… maybe we will be back next year!
